Supply Chain Assistant

Derby Full time Monday to Friday Salary: £26,000 + performance bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Assistant to join a well-established and growing product-based business. This role would suit either a graduate looking to build a career in supply chain/purchasing, or someone with some experience in buying, procurement, stock control or manufacturing operations who is ready to develop further.

You will join a supportive supply chain team where you ll gain hands-on experience across purchasing, supplier liaison, logistics coordination and stock planning, with full training provided.

The Role

¢ Support the sourcing and purchasing of components, raw materials and finished goods ¢ Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, confirm pricing and track deliveries ¢ Maintain accurate purchase orders, delivery schedules and stock records ¢ Monitor stock levels and assist with forecasting demand ¢ Communicate with logistics providers and production partners to ensure smooth operations ¢ Work closely with internal teams to ensure supply meets business needs ¢ Prepare reports, update spreadsheets and support data analysis

About You

This role is ideal if you:

¢ Are degree educated OR have experience in purchasing, supply chain, stock control or manufacturing ¢ Have excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills and enjoy working with data ¢ Have strong organisational and analytical skills ¢ Are a confident communicator able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams ¢ Have a genuine interest in supply chain, procurement or operations ¢ Are proactive, detail-focused and keen to learn
